William P. Hobby Airport is located 9 miles (14 km) southwest of downtown Houston. The airport's website has a terminal map as well as phone numbers for local hotels and car rental agencies.
TAXI
Taxis to downtown Houston will cost from $18 to $22, depending on traffic. Travel time is 20 to 45 minutes.
BUS
Airport Express operates a van service to downtown. Departures are every 1/2 hour from 7:30 A.M. to 11:30 P.M. Purchase your ticket from the counter near the baggage claim area. The fare is about $11 to downtown Houston, with a travel time of 30 to 45 minutes.
RENTAL CAR
Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, General, Hertz, National, and Thrifty have counters at or near the airport.
